What I'm doing now
This is my now page. It tells you what I'm focused on at this point in my life.
Work & Career
I’m currently working at RevenueCat, where I focus on developer experience and helping app builders succeed with in-app subscriptions. My work centers on React Native, cross-platform development, and making it easier for developers to monetize their apps.
I’m also deeply involved in sharing knowledge — speaking at conferences, writing technical articles, and supporting initiatives like Shipaton, RevenueCat’s global hackathon. I love helping developers build, ship, and scale apps that people actually pay for.
Personal Projects
I'm working on several side projects:
- Saunuas – a mobile app for tracking sauna sessions
- Contentful.ly – a React Native mobile app for managing Contentful content
- Netli.fyi – a React Native mobile app for managing Netlify projects
I also still renovate apartments. I currently own 8 apartments, after selling one last March. Current revovation projects include converting an old basement into 30sqm space with a gym and laundry room.
Learning & Growth
Fitness & health: I’m spending a massive amount of time at the gym weightlifting, and I also run regularly — either solo or with a run club. I’m learning more about nutrition to support my training, and I continue to put a lot of effort into personal development beyond the physical side.
Languages: I’m studying both Japanese and Dutch. Japanese has been a long-term thingie and is so damn hard, but maybe when I’m sixty I can order ramen in a restaurant. Dutch is for more personal reasons, and it’s definitely easier, but also such an unserious language. Truly a miracle that they at one point ran the world of commerce with a language were ”we hebben een serious problem” is something a real person would say.
Writing & creativity: I’m constantly working on screenwriting and writing in general. It’s not always easy, especially in the current age of AI where the landscape feels uncertain, but I keep at it because storytelling and clear communication remain important to me.
Personal Life
Personal Life I’m based in Finland — usually between Pori and Helsinki — but I travel a lot due to work. This year alone I’ve been to Japan four times, visited the U.S. a few times in places like Salt Lake City and New York, and I’ve got Las Vegas coming up soon.
It’s honestly easier to say that I live in Europe than any specific city, since I also spend extended time in the Netherlands and other parts of the continent.
When I’m not on the move, I spend time training, running, and working out — balanced with geekier interests like anime, games, and books.
This page is inspired by Derek Sivers' now page movement. It's meant to answer the question "What are you up to these days?" in a way that social media updates don't.
